Shannon has appeared on panel Discussions at conventions all over the country, including San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, Emerald City Comic con, Long Beach Comic Con, Wondercon, and many, many more. Special highlights include moderating the “Out in Comics” (formerly “Gays In Comics”) panel at San Diego Comic-Con (the longest-running annual panel in the convention’s history!) twice, being invited as a Special Guest to New York Comic-Con and Boston’s Arisia, and filling numerous massive rooms with Lumberjanes fans (notably the best fans in comics)!

Shannon has also given talks and taught classes on making comics, the importance of sequential storytelling, and writing comics for kids and teens across the U.S. and in places as far-flung as Denmark, Chile, and Canada. She especially loves talking to kids and teens about comics…they’re often the most enthusiastic audience!
